The Job

We were asked to install galvanised steel anti-scale barriers to the existing roof perimeter fencing of the Tower Multi-Story Car Park at the Gloucester Royal Hospital. This included designing and manufacturing bespoke heavy-duty brackets to secure the anti-scale barriers to the existing fencing and to the top of stairwell buildings as well as installing anti-climb collars to lamp posts. A main element of the works was the health and safety requirements with scaffolding and crash decks mounted above four hospital entrances together with safety corridors below the working areas, as well as negotiating the air ambulance landing at various times. The project was successfully completed over the course of five weeks with the works being phased to allow the car park to remain operational with minimum disruption.
